Midnight worked alongside Timeline Missions for this project supported by Swatch, Hexo+, Red Bull and White Frontier Beer. The concept for the project was for Xavier De La Rue (Link to his page) accompanied by his wife Beanie to chase the snow in a fully branded mobile home and ride as many peaks as possible in a single season while filming and editing the whole experience.
For the design they wanted to create something fun, playful and handmade and ensure that brand continuity was obvious from everything from the logo to the van graphics. The van needed to be something iconic for people to spot and notice whilst it was out and about during the season that they were filming.
World famous tattoo artist Ash Lewis approached us about creating a logo that will then be rolled out into a full brand in the near future. We created something that will be timeless and represent Ash as best as possible.
Due to the style of this logo, as it sits in a world of tattoo artist logos using script and gothic fonts this logo gets great stand out and recognition.
Creative and digital agency Oi approached Midnight to create three internal murals for their new offices in Guernsey. The brief was to create something based around their values of brand new thinking. We needed to create something that was bold, bright clean and vibrant.
Working together with Timeline Missions and Swatch we produced a logo for a mission where several professional snowboarders and skiers to the most northerly points to ride where no other rider has ridden before.
The logo captures the compass elements of the mission concept while also bringing across the boat exploration and mountain riding by creating a mount and its reflection to create the compass needle.
The simplistic logo design of this Jersey based artisan candle brand, ensures that the upmost focus is on the candle rather than the logo. The luxurious, hand poured candles with beautifully addictive scents are produced from fair trade and sustainable soy wax, premium grade fragrance and pure essential oils.
A space themed mural produced for a charity event in association with Andium Homes. Working with disadvantaged local kids. We were called in to work alongside their youth workers to paint a few murals and then work with the kids to paint their own murals using water based non-permanent MTN paint.
For this project we worked with the Moroccan tourism board on a new initiative for sport fishing tourism and replenishing fish farming for trade and consumption. The idea was to create a logo that would work as a one symbol of these two initiatives and also work separately for each of the singular initiatives.
The second part of a project working with the Moroccan tourism board for Peche et Aquaculture Maroc was to provide information to local operatives and raise awareness locally by producing an infographic poster to highlight the processes behind each initiative.
Working with The North Face and Timeline Missions we produced a logo for Mission Antarctic.
Mission Antarctic was a journey of snowboard exploration. Team snowboarders Xavier de le Rue and Lucas DeBari set sail from the Falklands, through the Drake Passage and around the Fjords of the Antarctic peninsula in search of the best lines to ride on the continent.
Midnight was approached by the Guernsey based Perkins to produce a mural for their subterranean games room in their Guernsey residence. The mural contains obvious retro games elements and uses a colour palette to tie all of these elements together.
Professional snowboarder Victor De Le Rue asked Midnight to design a logo for him to use on his products such as snowboards, board bindings and glasses. We wanted to produce something as dynamic and forward thinking as Victor's riding.
Portelet bay cafe received a new full brand identity, including website design and hosting and square shaped business cards, replicating he look of pizza boxes. The simple, typographic style logo works well as a non-logo styled logo allowing the imagery food and the the location of the cafe to sell the brand. The family run cafe located right on the beach in Jersey and is outstandingly beautiful. The cafe specialises in authentic wood fired pizza as well as seasonal local based produce.
Midnight designed a simple yet modern logo for fashion photographer Danny Evans.
Midnight Industries designed a logo and produced and arranged the printing of business cards for this Jersey based lifestyle blog featuring food, fashion and anything worth writing about. The logo represents Emma and her personality. Basing the logo around an italic hand written font, similar to that of Emma's own writing. The new logo was introduced as a blog re-design to give the whole site a bit of an upgrade and a newly revived more sophisticated feel.
T'ease is a high end tea brand based in Guernsey. They approached Midnight to produce a repeat packaging design. The main area of focus was to bring in elements that are associated with tea and the Channel Islands.
Streetwear brand Busyboi approached Midnight to work on a complete brand re-fresh to work with existing designs. The update included a new solid logotype and also an icon set of idents that included a slight update on the previous logo. This was then rolled out on website, new apparel and social media platforms.
Following Mission Antarctic, Midnight worked with Timeline Missions, Swatch and The North Face again on Mission Steeps, the second chapter of the Mission Series. Midnight produced a clean stylised logo that represented the severity of the peaks and the search aspect of the mission.
Following some of the most progressive riders on their way to re-define steeps riding on breath-taking terrain and challenging conditions. Mission Steeps is not only a quest to the most radical terrain but also a journey and documentary on how they get there and their singular approach to the mountain.
World famous professional snowboarder Xavier De Le Rue approached Midnight to produce a brand identity for him to use on his snowboard products. Xavier briefed in that he needed something that would be iconic and simple.
Oi Jersey approached Midnight after the success of the Guernsey office murals, but due to the layout of the Jersey office they wanted something a little bit more mature. So Midnight devised the concept of producing smaller murals based around the services that Oi offer.
Marmot and Timeline Missions briefed in that they wanted a logo that represented a list or a group of mountains for the new movie La Liste.
La Liste shows steep skiing in a way that has never been seen before and promises to be a true visual feast. The 26 year old Mammut Pro Team athlete Jérémie Heitz challenges himself to ski the most spectacular 4000m peaks of the Alps in order to tell the story of each of these mountains in a way that it has never been done before. Based on his personal tick list, ‘La liste’, Jérémie wants to show the evolution of big mountain skiing. The extreme peaks from back in the days are now freeriding faces accomplished by only a few skiers. In the fall of 2016 the film “La Liste” will bring a new vision and show a new kind of freeskiing.
As Kismet Cabana was a newly opened venture in 2016, an entire brand identity was produced for them. The rustic style logo works well with the positioning and style of the cafe, as it's tucked away with views across Ouaisne Bay. Kismet Cabana is a culinary celebration of beach culture and street food cuisine from around the world.
They encourage islanders to enjoy and respect the beautiful bay as the al fresco surf-style vibe offers a friendly retreat. Usable brand elements were also created for Kismet to enable them to update and produce changeable menus and social media designs.
Midnight produced a simple clean logo based abound the two Bs of the business name but also taking strong reference from boxing gloves. BoxInBusiness is a training gym for personal training and boxing technique.
This brand was well received and is now being developed into a clothing line.
